Little Scholars in Salem NH is hiring an experienced teacher for our Toddler One classroom. We have amazing kids and amazing staff that love to support each other!

Little Scholars is a non-profit organization as well as a faith based center at Granite United Church. We believe that what we do daily will lay a strong foundation in the life of the child academically and develop strong character throughout our program and beyond! We do this through a strong curriculum foundation that includes Bible teaching.

About the Position:
- Prepare weekly lesson plans to encourage learning according to Developmental Appropriate Practices and the Little Scholars Scope and Sequence
- Create a Daily Routine that allows children to develop a love of learning but also minimizes behavior
- Adapt curriculum based on children's needs and interestsIndividualize routine care by incorporating child's needs along with family practices
- Assess children's learning and developmentUse a variety of teaching methods
- Design a positive and safe environment for children to learn
- Partner with families by communicating with them about their child's development on an ongoing basis
Position Requirements
High School, 1+ Years work experience
Education/Requirements
- Minimum 3 credits in child growth and development
- 2+ years of experience working in a licensed childcare facility preferred
- Ability to lift and carry up to 60lbs
- CPR/First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain
- Energetic, with a positive attitude and creative personality
- Ability to interact, communicates to, protect, and encourage children
