Energy Services Drafter

The Energy Services Drafter will use an architect's and industry specifications to create detailed drawings for buildings, structures, and projects.

• Uses computer-aided drafting (CAD) software to create full-scale and detailed designs of buildings and interiors from an architect's rough drawings.
• Studies building codes and regulations and determines how they will affect architectural designs.
• Organizes civil, structural, electrical, and mechanical designs.
• Draws plans for foundations, buildings, and structures based on instructions provided by engineers and architects.
• Visits jobsites to gather data needed to complete designs.
• Determines the types of materials needed and calculates the quantity to be ordered.
• Working with an architect, generates cost estimates, contracts, and other documents required for individual projects.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Extensive knowledge of CAD software and other architectural drafting tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Associate's degree in Drafting required.
• Three years of related experience required.

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to access and navigate all areas of construction sites.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
