Title I Teacher

Appropriate grade level state certification

Title I Program Director in consultation with building principal

Building reading specialist, administrator(s), classroom teachers, and other professional staff

To assist students in meeting the Salem School District reading standards

• To provide direct reading instruction to students.
• To administer standardized and informal reading assessments.
• To utilize assessment data to inform instruction.
• To monitor and record student progress and share information with the building reading specialist, classroom teacher, and other professional staff, as appropriate.
• To maintain student records in compliance with Title I guidelines.
• To work collaboratively with classroom teachers, building reading specialist, and other professional staff to design and deliver a cohesive program that supports classroom instruction.
• To work cooperatively with staff to achieve school and Title I program objectives.
• To participate in parent meetings and Student Services Team meetings, as appropriate.
