VP​/Director of Finance

Description We are looking for a strategic finance leader to guide planning, performance analysis, and decision support for the organization in Salem, New Hampshire. This role will work closely with operational and commercial leaders to evaluate business performance, shape investment decisions, and support profitable growth. The ideal candidate brings strong financial leadership within a manufacturing environment and can turn complex data into practical recommendations for senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

- Advise business leaders on financial implications of strategic choices, using analysis to support growth initiatives and operational decisions.

- Direct the annual budget cycle, periodic forecasts, and longer-term financial plans to ensure alignment with company objectives.

- Evaluate financial results against plans and historical performance, highlighting key trends, risks, and areas for improvement.

- Build scenario analyses, investment evaluations, and business cases for new opportunities, expansion efforts, and major initiatives.

- Track critical performance indicators such as revenue, margin, labor spending, operating expenses, and capital deployment to improve visibility and accountability.

- Partner with Accounting and FP& A to maintain reliable reporting, support month-end close activities, and strengthen financial accuracy.

- Collaborate with Sales, Operations, HR, Supply Chain, and other functions to align financial priorities with business needs.

- Provide analytical support for pricing decisions, customer discussions, and commercial strategies to enhance profitability.

- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, control costs, and strengthen overall business performance through data-driven recommendations. Requirements - 7+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, including responsibility for budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

- Demonstrated background in a manufacturing environment with strong understanding of operational cost drivers and margin performance.

- Expertise in annual budgeting, variance analysis, cash flow forecasting, and financial modeling.

- Experience supporting month-end close processes and partnering effectively with accounting teams.

- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to develop clear analyses and executive-ready reporting.

- Working knowledge of SAP or comparable enterprise resource planning systems.

- Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and communicate financial insights to senior leadership.
