Kitchen Manager is responsible for performing assigned duties in accordance with NRHN policies, procedures, and standards of care while supporting the organization’s mission, values, and commitment to quality outcomes.
Essential ResponsibilitiesThe Culinary Manager is a hands‑on culinary and operational leader responsible for overseeing daily food production, patient meal service, and team performance within Food & Nutrition Services. This role integrates culinary excellence, regulatory compliance, and patient‑centered care, ensuring meals are safe, nutritious, visually appealing, and compliant with IDDSI standards, Joint Commission requirements, and applicable federal and state regulations. The Culinary Manager works collaboratively with the Director of Food & Nutrition Services, Registered Dietitians, clinical staff, and patients to support safe swallowing, therapeutic diet accuracy, and enhanced patient dining experience.
Qualifications- Five years of cooking experience with a management role or culinary degree.
- High school diploma preferred.
- Basic computer knowledge/skills.
- Exceptional organization and communication skills.
- Experience in catering, banquets, and restaurant or hotel dining operations.
- Ability to carry/pull up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand /walk 80% of the day.
- Ability to complete assignments within time constraints.
