WEI is growing and looking for early-career technical professionals and experienced IT support specialists who we can develop into Pre-Sales Solutions Engineers. Through hands-on experience, mentorship, and a structured training program, you will build on your existing technical foundation and learn how to become a trusted technical advisor to customers.

WEI is a service and solutions technology provider focused on designing and delivering cutting-edge solutions for our clients. Our sales and engineering teams work closely with customers to optimize their environments, improve efficiency, and apply modern technologies and best practices.

Overview:
The Pre-Sales Solutions team provides technical guidance and solution design support for new and existing customers. This includes hardware infrastructure, software, cloud solutions, and customized service offerings that address customer needs and deliver measurable value. In this role, you will learn how to identify customer business and technical requirements, map those requirements to WEI solutions, collaborate with internal and OEM experts, and help develop the associated Bills of Materials and Statements of Work.

What You Will Learn:

  • How to develop and maintain strong knowledge across the WEI portfolio so you can confidently position solutions for both business and technical audiences.
  • How to uncover customer business requirements, understand key drivers, evaluate alternative approaches, and translate high-level needs into high-value opportunities.
  • How to scope technical solutions within agreed-upon time frames while understanding risks for both the customer and WEI.
  • How to create comprehensive technology solutions, including High-Level Designs, Statements of Work, and Bills of Materials.
  • How to develop technical documentation and compelling proposals that communicate cost savings, return on investment, and business value.
  • How to confidently deliver technical presentations to internal teams, customers, and partners through meetings, events, seminars, and webinars.
Required Qualifications:
  • Must be able to commute to Salem, NH (no relocation)
  • 3+ years of experience as a hardware, systems, network, or senior IT support engineer.
  • STRONG interpersonal, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of at least one of the following technology areas: data center storage, networking, virtualization, data protection, automation, public, hybrid, or private cloud computing, end-user computing, or security.
  • A strong passion for learning and continued professional development.
  • Awareness of current computer industry trends and technical concepts.
  • Independent, self-motivated, and positive approach to work.
  • Ability to work effectively in team, customer, and partner environments.
  • Strong commitment to customer service and customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to collaborate across all levels of management with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to execute under pressure, influence others, and drive results.
  • Experience working at a Value Added Reseller (VAR) or Managed Service Provider (MSP).
Travel Requirements:
  • Up to 50% travel, including a mix of local and air travel.
Education and/or Certifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent experience.
