Emerald Technologies is looking for a Hand Solderer II to perform high-quality soldering operations on printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs), including SMT and thru-hole components. This mid-level role requires strong soldering skills, minimal supervision, and consistent ability to meet IPC Class 2 quality standards while supporting assembly, rework, and troubleshooting activities.

• Perform soldering of SMT and thru-hole components at IPC Class 2 standards with minimal supervision.
• Support PCBA assembly, rework, and troubleshooting of moderate complexity.
• Conduct inspections, identify defects, and correct issues independently.
• Maintain production records, quality logs, and ensure adherence to build documentation.
• Collaborate effectively with production, quality, and engineering teams.
• Escalate issues to senior solderers or supervisors for troubleshooting when needed.
• Follow all ESD, safety, and company quality procedures.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–4 years of hand soldering experience, including SMT and thru-hole.
• Ability to read and interpret PCBA documentation and mechanical drawings.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• IPC-610 and/or J-STD-001 Certification strongly preferred.

• Good hand/eye coordination required.
• Must have 20/20 vision (with correction) and color vision.
• Regularly required to sit; occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs as needed.
• Work performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moderate noise levels.
• Regular exposure to flux and other manufacturing chemicals; must follow safety and ESD procedures.
