Material Handler First Shift

Job Summary

The Material Handler is responsible for supplying, organizing, and issuing all thermoplastic materials to the Extrusion department in a timely manner. This role also performs secondary operations as needed, supporting the smooth operation of the department.

• Maintain and organize the second floor raw material storage area.
• Prepare raw materials for daily production runs.
• Review pending job orders to determine the type and quantity of materials needed.
• Weigh and measure materials and colorants using scales.
• Issue all materials used post job completion.
• Operate as a team player to assist in meeting department goals.
• Operate pneumatic tubing cutter to remove off‑line jobs and perform secondary cutting and packaging of tubing.
• Assist operators in collecting tubing.
• Measure critical tubing dimensions such as I.D., O.D., and length.
• Perform periodic cycle counts of all raw materials.
• Execute other duties as assigned.

• Entry‑level position; 1‑2 years of manufacturing experience preferred.

• Fast learner who can be coached and is willing to grow.
• Receive task‑oriented assignments from direct supervisor.
• Follow established practices and procedures to complete tasks on schedule.

• Perform each essential duty satisfactorily under normal manufacturing conditions.
