We are seeking a Bilingual, diligent and detail-oriented Quality Control Specialist to join our team Quality Control Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and reliability of our products by performing rigorous inspections, testing, and monitoring throughout the production process. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of automotive components, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for maintaining the highest levels of product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine and non-routine inspections of automotive transmission components and final assemblies to ensure compliance with company standards and specifications.
Conduct quality tests, including performance, durability, and functionality testing, on remanufactured transmission units.
Identify and document any defects, discrepancies, or non-conformities found during inspections, and work closely with production teams to resolve issues.
Ensure that all inspection procedures are followed in line with established guidelines and safety protocols.
Assist in the development and implementation of quality control processes and standards.
Analyze inspection data and prepare detailed reports for management review.
Maintain and calibrate inspection tools and equipment to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Monitor the production process to ensure compliance with quality standards, making recommendations for continuous improvements.
Collaborate with production, engineering, and other departments to address any quality concerns and improve product quality.
Provide training to staff on quality standards, best practices, and inspection techniques.
Participate in root cause analysis for quality issues and support corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required;
Associate's degree or higher in a related field (e.g., Automotive Technology, Engineering) preferred.
Proven experience (2+ years) in a quality control role, preferably within the automotive or manufacturing industry.
Strong knowledge of automotive systems, specifically transmissions, is a significant advantage.
Familiarity with quality control tools and techniques such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify defects and deviations from specifications.
Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to [specific weight] lbs.
Ability to stand, walk, and inspect products for extended periods.
Comfortable working with precision tools and machinery.
