Job DescriptionHunt Valve, a Northeast Ohio Manufacturer, has a job opening for a CNC Programmer. The successful candidate must have experience designing work holding fixtures, a knowledge of current machining practices, an awareness of current tooling availability, as well as experience working with a variety of different materials. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming mill/turns, lathes, machining centers and other equipment as required.
A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience programming with Cam in a manufacturing environment, is required. After training is complete and candidate is productive there may be an option to work from home on occasion. This is 1st shift 7:00 am - 4:30.

- Create CNC programs to manufacture parts to meet engineering blueprints
- Work closely with machine operators to ensure that programs manufacture parts that meet drawing specifications
- Design work holding fixtures for use in machining
- Recommend and secure needed tooling for use in the manufacturing of parts
- Support the company’s make/buy decision making process
- High School Diploma, required
- Certificate, associate degree, or apprenticeship program associated with CNC Programming, preferred
- At least 5 years of experience running and editing mill/turns, lathes, machining centers or similar equipment
- At least 3-5 years of experience programming mill/turns, lathes, machining centers or similar equipment with a Cam system
- Must have a thorough knowledge of CAD/CAM systems create needed geometry, and tool paths to manufacture parts complex
- Experience programming CNC milling and turning machines such as Okuma, Mazak, Fanuc and/or Haas machines
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and engineering requirements
- Understanding of GD&T a plus
- Ability to use inspection measuring devices
- Experience with Gibbs Cam or Mastercam preferred
- Solid Works experience is a plus
- Running or programming a 5-axis machine a plus
