Sr. Welder Fabricator, 1st Shift - American Augers

American Augers, located in West Salem, Ohio, is a division of The Toro Company. American Augers builds the largest horizontal directional drills in the industry and a full range of auger boring machines. With the rugged user in mind, our rigs are built to last and backed by 24‑hour worldwide support.

Shift: 5:00am – 3:30pm, Monday‑Thursday (as needed O/T on Friday). Wage: $24 – $28.00 per hour depending on experience.

• Hand weld components used to build equipment.
• Read information from blueprints, technical manuals, or other documents.
• Set up fixtures, mount parts in fixtures, and perform mechanical assembly.
• Set up, adjust, and operate MIG welding equipment to weld machine components.
• Don PPE including a welding hood, gloves, sleeves, safety glasses, face shields, and hearing protection.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• MIG weld experience or completion of a formal weld training program, or equivalent training and experience.
• Ability to pass the required entry‑level plate test for production welding.
• Mechanical skills, including experience using hand and air‑powered tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, hammers, etc.).
• Appropriate reading, clerical, and basic math skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
