Travel Registered Nurse CVOR | Salem, Ohio

Schedule/Hours:

• Day Shift: Monday-Friday, 6:30a-3:00p (8-hour preferred) or 6:30a-5:00p (10-hour)
• Shift start may be as early as 5:30a depending on surgical caseload
• On-call:
  On a six-week rotation, approximately 10-12 call shifts (1-2 weekdays and 1-2 weekends)
• 30-minute call response; call rooms available

Key Qualifications:

• Current RN license (active and in good standing, or compact state)
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications (PALS, CNOR, and SGNA preferred)
• At least 2 years of CVOR/cardiac OR nursing experience and 1-2 years of general surgical experience
• Dysrhythmia Exam (support provided)
• Previous travel assignment experience preferred
• Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care in a surgical environment
• Adept at adapting to fast-paced, high-acuity situations and working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive pre-, intra-, and post-operative patient care using the nursing process
• Circulate CVOR and general procedures, including CABG, TAVRs, VATs, windows, and open general surgeries
• Operate equipment, anticipate surgical team needs, maintain sterile field, and keep accurate records
• Collaborate across departments for optimal patient outcomes
• Participate in ongoing quality improvement, teaching, and professional development initiatives
