What you will do!You will support the implementation of Oregon’s Volkswagen Environmental Mitigation Fund, the CERTA Clean Trucks grant, the Clean Heavy Duty Vehicle grant, and the federal Diesel Emissions Reduction Act grant. In addition, you will help the Medium- and Heavy‑Duty Vehicle Grants and Incentives team with day‑to‑day operations, including grant administration, project tracking, and stakeholder coordination. You will provide technical assistance to eligible fund recipients, especially fleet owners and operators, and support fleet transition planning toward cleaner diesel and zero‑emission vehicle technologies.
You will evaluate and approve diesel mitigation projects, monitor program progress to ensure emissions reductions, timelines, and agency goals are met, analyze program data, support program communications, and develop reports while ensuring compliance with DEQ contracting and reporting policies.

What are we looking for?Minimum Qualifications
Five years of experience coordinating or administering a program.
Education substitutions: A bachelor’s degree may substitute for three years of experience; a master’s degree may substitute for four years; a doctorate may substitute for five years.
Desired Attributes- Understanding of environmental justice and impacts on marginalized communities.
- Experience analyzing data and financial information for program oversight.
- Experience working with medium‑ and heavy‑duty vehicle fleets, including technical assistance for fleet transition and vehicle electrification.
- Experience facilitating meetings and building relationships with diverse partners and community stakeholders.
- Strong conflict resolution, negotiation, and collaboration skills.
- Project management experience, including planning, tracking, and coordinating work of others.
- Experience conducting program evaluations and researching solutions to program issues.
- Highly motivated, initiative‑driven, creative problem‑solver.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for various audiences.
