We are hiring for one full-time, permanent position located at our headquarters in Salem, Oregon.

** Your New Role
** As the Strategic Initiative Business Analyst (OPA4), you will join the Director’s Office at the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW) in a high‐level strategic, analytical, and coordination role. It blends enterprise project oversight, organizational performance management, complex process problem‐solving, and government‐to‐government tribal relations. The work directly influences agency effectiveness, public perception, internal operations, and cross‐agency coordination. You will support the planning, monitoring, and delivery of large, complex, cross-agency initiatives;
help teams stay aligned on goals and outcomes; identify risks and barriers; and bring forward solutions that strengthen ODFW’s operational effectiveness. This role requires exceptional soft skills—strong communication, relationship building, emotional intelligence, and a non‐directive, supportive approach to helping teams do their best work. You will also track and organize government‐to‐government tribal relations for ODFW, ensuring consultation, communication, and partnership are carried out responsibly and lawfully.
