Position Summary
The Resident District Manager is responsible for the overall growth strategy, community engagement activities, and team‑building plans in the Greater Portland, Oregon area. The role oversees the Salem‑Keizer School District in Salem, OR — the second largest district in Oregon with over 43,000 students served across 64 locations.
Key responsibilities include managing day‑to‑day operations, ensuring high‑quality food service, meeting financial targets, developing and maintaining client relationships, creating strategic plans, and upholding Sodexo standards.
What You’ll Do- Oversee day‑to‑day operations and manage employees both on‑site and remotely.
- Deliver high‑quality food service and achieve company and client financial targets.
- Develop and maintain client and customer relationships.
- Develop strategic plans to support district growth.
- Create a positive work environment and ensure Sodexo standards are met.
- Strong employee engagement and leadership experience, with prior supervisory experience and the ability to work collaboratively.
- Culinary production experience and a strong background in safety and sanitation compliance.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and provide a high level of customer service.
- Working knowledge of Sodexo Food Management System (FMS) and The Market Connection (TMC).
- Proficiency in computer skills and report management.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Prior experience working in K–12 settings.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of management experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of functional experience.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Experience in K–12 environments.
- Strong employee engagement leadership and supervisory skills.
- Culinary production experience with safety and sanitation compliance.
- Knowledge of Sodexo FMS and TMC.
- Proficiency in computer skills and report management.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
