EARLY HEAD START HOME VISITOR
Family Building Blocks in Salem, OR is seeking a bilingual (English/Spanish) Early Head Start Home Visitor. The position typically requires Monday – Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.
Compensation & BenefitsEarn a competitive starting pay of $20.88–$22.15 per hour, depending on experience. Bilingual employees receive an additional language differential pay. ADay In The Life
As an Early Head Start Home Visitor you will encourage the development of a safe, nurturing home learning environment for infants and toddlers, identify family strengths, and recognize parents as the child’s first teachers. You will conduct weekly home visits focusing on child development and family support, provide parents with tools to be effective teachers, complete health tracking, developmental screenings, and help families access community resources.
Qualifications- Home‑Based Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) or comparable credential, or an AA in Early Childhood or a related field with 20 credits of ECE.
- One‑year relevant experience providing social services, including demonstrated experience working with infant/child development and at‑risk families, parent education, home visiting, and/or child development settings.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
- Oregon driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- English/Spanish bilingualism.
