Role Description

This full-time, on-site Hod carrier role is based in Oregon but must be willing to travel to Washington, Idaho, and Hawaii. Day-to-day responsibilities include mixing mortar, stocking bricks and blocks, setting up and moving scaffolding, and keeping work areas clean and organized. The hod carrier will load and unload materials, move supplies to masons, and ensure tools and equipment are available and in good working order.

The role also involves following safety procedures, assisting with basic layout tasks, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions. This position requires consistent punctuality, physical stamina, and the ability to work as part of a construction crew.

Qualifications
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials, working on scaffolding, and standing for extended periods.
  • Basic knowledge of construction or masonry job site practices, or willingness to learn on the job.
  • Commitment to following safety rules, using personal protective equipment, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • Reliable transportation to the Salem, OR job sites and ability to work full-time, consistent schedules.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to take direction from masons and supervisors.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; previous experience in construction, masonry, or general labor is a plus.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and adapt to changing job site needs.
