Position: Clinical Assistant – Dental (DA/DAEF)

Clinical Assistant – Dental (DA/DAEF)

Castilla Orthodontics and Enhance Oral Surgery are looking for an organized, dependable, and energetic Clinical Assistant (DA/DAEF) to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative clinical environment and enjoys providing excellent patient care while supporting doctors and fellow team members.

The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, comfortable working chairside, and committed to helping the clinical team provide an efficient and positive experience for every patient. Previous Dental Assistant experience is required.

Responsibilities
  • Assist doctors and the clinical team with patient care and daily clinical flow

  • Prepare chairs and ensure they are properly stocked for procedures

  • Seat and prepare patients for treatment

  • Provide chair-side assistance within the allowable scope of the position

  • Take dental X-rays when appropriately certified

  • Sterilize instruments and maintain proper infection-control protocols

  • Clean and turn over chairs between patients

  • Maintain clinical supplies and communicate inventory needs

  • Help keep the clinical schedule running efficiently throughout the day

  • Provide a friendly, professional, and reassuring experience for patients

  • Communicate effectively with doctors, clinical staff, and front-office team members

  • Support other team members as needed to maintain smooth practice operations

Qualifications
  • DA/DAEF certification as applicable to the position

  • Radiologic proficiency/certification required

  • Current certifications required to perform assigned duties

  • Previous experience in a dental, orthodontic, or oral surgery practice preferred

  • Working knowledge of dental terminology and clinical procedures

  • Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced clinical environment

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Dependable, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities

  • Positive, team-oriented attitude

  • Willingness to learn and take direction from doctors and clinical leadership
