Associate Drafter​/Detailer

Advanced Tower Components an immediate need for a highly motivated and talented individual for the Associate Drafter/Detailer position in our Drafting Department located in the Salem, OR headquarters. The Associate Drafter/Detailer will work closely with the project management team processing production and customer drawing orders, reviewing red lines and preparing the necessary drawings and other data for internal and external use.

Primary duties and responsibilities:

• Review customer contract drawings, specifications, or instructions from team members
• Prepare fabrication and assembly drawings
• Prepare Bill of Materials from fabrication details and customer supplied drawings and specifications
• Identify, recommend and develop revisions to standard product designs, drafting procedures and systems to improve department operation and productivity

Required Qualifications:

• Associates degree or higher in a drafting related career field or equivalent drafting experience
• Experience using Solid Works, Inventor or AutoCAD
• A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
• The ability to solve complex problems with a high attention to detail
• The ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment subject to specific deadlines that must be met, while verifying the accuracy of own and/or others’ work
• The ability to effectively communicate and interact with employees at all levels within the organization and follow instructions
• An acceptable attendance and prior employment record
• A person of passion and integrity who has the drive to excel and deliver exceptional results
• Drafting experience in a professional environment is a plus
