Northwest Human Services is seeking a Medical Director to provide clinical leadership while maintaining an active clinical practice. This position is structured as approximately 75% clinical practice and 25% clinical leadership, providing an opportunity to support and develop providers, advance quality and patient safety, strengthen integrated care, and help ensure our patients receive compassionate, high-quality care.

As Medical Director, you’ll work closely with clinical and operational leadership to support our teams, improve patient access and experience, and advance NWHS’s commitment to whole-person care.

• Provide clinical leadership, coaching, mentoring, and support to physicians, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, and other clinical staff.
• Support provider onboarding, professional development, competency, and performance.
• Coordinate provider schedules and coverage to support patient access and continuity of care.
• Serve as a clinical resource and advocate for providers, staff, and patients.

• Lead and support quality improvement, patient safety, and evidence-based clinical initiatives.
• Participate in peer review, clinical governance, chart review, credentialing, privileging, and risk management activities.
• Support compliance with HRSA, FTCA, Joint Commission, HIPAA, CMS, and other applicable requirements.
• Use clinical, quality, and operational data to identify opportunities for improvement.

• Partner with operational leadership to support safe, efficient, and patient-centered clinic operations.
• Collaborate with Behavioral Health and other teams to strengthen integrated care.
• Support community-based clinical services and efforts to improve access to care.
• Participate in leadership meetings, quality committees, organizational initiatives, and new models of care.

• Provide professional medical services including examinations, diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up care.
• Provide clinical consultation and supervision to assigned advanced practice providers.
• Support care coordination, specialty referrals, and continuity of care.
• Participate in community-based clinical rotations as assigned.
• Provide clinical coverage and support to the care team as needed.

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Minimum of five (5) years of clinical practice experience in ambulatory, primary care, community health, or integrated healthcare settings.
• Minimum of three (3) years of progressive clinical leadership experience, such as Medical Director, Associate Medical Director, Clinical Lead, Clinical Director, Physician Supervisor, or similar role.
