This is a part-time faculty pool for available assignments during the academic year. Applications are considered throughout the year and reviewed based on department need. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
* Provides classroom and behind the wheel instruction to area high school students and adults. Classroom instruction may be offered online or in-person.
* Maintains all required documentation for reporting to the state those students who have successfully completed the program.
* Understands and collaborates effectively with a variety of students, staff, and public from diverse cultural, social and economic backgrounds.
* Assists in the administration of tests and other evaluations.
* Teaches assigned classes following approved course outline; prepares and develops materials for assigned classes; provides students and college with course syllabi and recommends textbooks and other instructional material and/or equipment.
* Provides classroom environment conducive to learner growth in a variety of delivery methods (individualized, small group, lecture/discussion); instructional duties and group facilitation.
* Maintains student records of grades and attendance; scores practice tests and develops student educational plans.
* May participate in curriculum development; may recommend textbooks and other instructional materials/equipment; may recommend library and reference materials; may recommend course outline revision.
* Keeps current on technological changes, developments in subject area, and innovative teaching techniques.
* Understands, develops, and provides a learning environment that supports diversity and incorporates a sensitivity to diversity in the workplace.
* Promotes and applies the college's values for teaching and learning; creates a learning climate of mutual respect and fairness; encourages creative and critical thinking; actively engages students in the learning process; facilitates learning that applies to and enriches a students; encourages mutual responsibility for a supportive learning environment; clarifies expectations and encourages student responsibility for learning; and promotes learning as a life-long process.
* Performs other related duties as directed.

Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma / GED Equivalent

- Completion or enrollment in Driver Education Certification Training

* Ability to read, write, comprehend, and provide instructions in English
Preferred Qualifications
* Prior teaching experience in the public school system

* Requires flexible work schedule to meet program needs, which may include evenings and/or weekends
* This position belongs to the non-bargaining unit and begins at Step
