We are seeking an energetic, reliable, and experienced Toddler Teacher to join our team at Ridge Child Development Center. This role is responsible for leading a toddler classroom, supporting early learning, and creating a safe, engaging, and structured environment where children can thrive.
Our program offers a balanced blend of play and academic learning, and we are looking for someone who is passionate about helping young children grow socially, emotionally, and academically during these foundational years.
Responsibilities- Create and implement a comprehensive, developmentally appropriate curriculum
- Teach foundational early learning skills, including early literacy and math concepts
- Support children in developing social, emotional, and self-help skills
- Foster a positive, engaging, and structured classroom environment
- Use a variety of instructional methods and hands‑on learning techniques
- Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and team members
- Observe, assess, and document student progress toward developmental milestones
- Ensure a clean, safe, and well‑managed classroom at all times
- Meets State of Oregon childcare teacher requirements & current C enrollment
- Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (preferred)
- Strong understanding of child development and classroom management best practices
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation standards in a childcare setting
- Strong problem‑solving, organization, and conflict‑resolution skills
