This is a part-time faculty pool for available assignments during the academic year. Applications are considered throughout the year and reviewed based on department need. The Education Department seeks part-time faculty to support the Bachelor of Applied Science in Education (BASE) program with a specialized focus on curriculum development in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) education and/or special education (SPED).
This role emphasizes the design, refinement, and delivery of standards-aligned, equity-centered curriculum for adult learners in upper-division coursework (300-400 level), ensuring alignment with:
* Teacher Standards and Practices Commission (TSPC)
* Association for Advancing Quality in Educator Preparation (AAQEP)
* InTASC standards
Part-time faculty contribute to a collaborative consortium model and support high-quality, accessible, and practice-based educator preparation. Instructors from this pool will contribute to curriculum development of upper-division coursework for proposed BASE degree and teach these courses

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Instruction & Curriculum Development
* Teach assigned BASE courses, with emphasis on:
* Math instructional strategies and/or Inclusive and SPED-focused pedagogy
* Clinical seminar or practicum support courses
* Design and revise curriculum aligned to:
* Develop course materials for adult learners, including:
Course Management & Student Success
* Provide clear syllabi aligned with program expectations
* Maintain accurate student records (grades, attendance, feedback)
* Communicate regularly with students and provide timely feedback
* Connect students to college and program resources
* Support diverse, adult, and working learners in achieving program outcomes
* Design/Maintain online & hybrid courses using the consortium Canvas learning management system
* Apply best practices in:
* Online instructional design
* Universal Design for Learning (UDL)
* Regular and substantive interaction (RSI)
* Develop modules that support flexible, place-based learning
Practicum & Clinical Support
* Support practicum experiences through:
Instructional Program Responsibilities
* Collaborate with BASE faculty and consortium partners on curriculum alignment
* Participate in:
* Course and program assessment
* Continuous improvement processes
* Stay current on program standards, licensure requirements, and instructional practices
