About your Role: The Lead Skills Trainer/Youth Mentor position is responsible for onboarding and direct supervision of Skills Trainers and Youth Mentors in the applicable region. The Lead will occasionally provide Skills Training or Youth Mentoring services to youth referred by DHS. Leads provide regional based oversight of referral procurement and assignment and establishing and maintaining ongoing relationships with key regional stakeholders and partners.

The Lead will ensure referred youth in the region receive high quality, individualized, appropriate services to assist them in developing the skills needed in order to stabilize their placement in the community.

• Onboard and supervise Skills Trainers and Youth Mentors in the applicable region.
• Provide Skills Training or Youth Mentoring services to youth referred by DHS as needed.
• Oversee referral procurement and assignment within the region.
• Establish and maintain ongoing relationships with regional stakeholders and partners.
• Ensure referred youth receive high quality, individualized services to help stabilize their placement.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2 years of relevant experience (additional education may substitute for years of experience).
• Willing and able to work 40 hours per week.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and auto insurance.
• CPR/First Aid (provided by an agency).
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NCI) (provided by an agency).
• Tier 1 Collaborative Problem Solving (provided by an agency).
• Ability to pass fingerprinting and background checks.
