ESSA - Special Programs Instructional Assistant 2026-27 - Grant
Purpose
To improve student achievement by assisting a licensed teacher in the planning and implementation of an educational program, including individualized education programs (IEPs). Assigned educational programs may include both general and special education settings.
Responsibilities
This position includes riding the bus before and after school for our medically fragile students in our MDLC program. You will work closely with the special education teacher, the instructional assistant team, and specialists like physical, occupational, and speech therapists.

The federal Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) works to support equal opportunity for disadvantaged students and eliminate barriers to student success. ESSA requires all paraprofessionals working in a Title I funded school to meet certain proficiency in reading, writing, and math.
