Special Programs Instructional Assistant - ESSA

PURPOSE

To improve student achievement by assisting a licensed teacher in the planning and implementation of an educational program, including individualized education programs (IEPs). Assigned educational programs may include both general and special education settings.

Graduation Coach

PURPOSE

To support student achievement by coordinating parent involvement, family support activities, and community outreach programs for at-risk students. Assist in the planning and implementation of programs. Monitor, communicate, and evaluate activities and services for parents, school staff, and community partners.

Graduation Coaches will act as case managers for at-risk students. Providing support or directing students to an appropriate community or school resource for the purpose of keeping the student in the learning program they are enrolled in.

SPIA: 2 hours, 188 days per year, Temporary September 3, 2026 - June 17, 2027, Hourly Range: $23.15 - $29.53 (Salary is based on the 2025-26 schedule and is subject to change)

GC: 6 hours, 208 days per year, Temporary August 20, 2026 - June 25, 2027, Hourly Range: $25.47 - $32.46 (Salary is based on the 2025-26 schedule and is subject to change)

The federal Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) works to support equal opportunity for disadvantaged students and eliminate barriers to student success. ESSA requires all paraprofessionals working in a Title I funded school to meet certain proficiency in reading, writing and math.
