To improve student achievement by assisting a licensed teacher in the planning and implementation of an educational program, including individualized education programs (IEPs). Assigned educational programs may include both general and special education settings.

ESSA requires all paraprofessionals working in a Title I funded school to meet certain proficiency in reading, writing and math. If you meet any of the below ESSA requirements, you must register this information with the district by attaching transcripts and/or test results to your job application. These materials will be reviewed to verify that the requirements are met.
