Under the direction of the Director, the Behavioral Program Coordinator administers the day-to-day execution, implementation, and compliance of a federal HRSA grant-funded behavioral health program. The incumbent is responsible for recruiting students, assisting with budgetary alignment, establishing formal training partnerships with Community-Base Organizations (CBOs), and maintaining comprehensive data tracking and federal reporting. As a primary liaison, this role drives vital campus and community collaborations, guiding student navigators and coordinators while partnering with key departments like CTE faculty, Admissions, and Advising to bolster student enrollment, retention, and seamless transitions.

Bridging the gap between academic instruction and community-based experiential training to directly meet regional workforce needs.

Program Development, Implementation & Budget
  • Recruit and select students to participate in the HRSA grant-funded program.
  • Develop and expand community-based experiential training sites in partnership with behavioral health organizations.
  • Establish and maintain formal partnerships with behavioral health community-based organizations (CBOs).
  • Collaborate with behavioral health faculty advisors and community partners to align program activities with training and workforce needs.
  • Advertise and market the program to increase student awareness and participation.
  • Coordinate program implementation, ensuring compliance with HRSA grant requirements.
  • Track and document grant-related data, including student participation and program outcomes.
  • Conduct surveys, follow-up activities, and data collection to assess program effectiveness.
  • Prepare and submit required reports to the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) and other stakeholders.
  • Assist in aligning program activities with budgetary needs in accordance with federal guidelines.
College & Community Collaborations
  • Serves as a primary point of contact for community-based organizations (CBOs) and other external partners.
  • Represents the program at regular community partner meetings to develop and maintain a referral network with social service agencies and programs.
  • Collaborates with Career and Technical Education (CTE) faculty, deans, directors, Admissions, Advising, College Access Programs, and student services staff to support student enrollment and retention.
  • Serves as a lead for navigators/coaches and the internship coordinator, providing training and guidance as needed.
  • Develops marketing materials and delivers presentations to prospective students, community organizations, and on-campus partners regarding program services, qualifications, and expectations.
  • Builds and strengthens partnerships with behavioral health CBOs in alignment with the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) grant through the Department of Health and Human Services.
  • Collaborates with behavioral health faculty advisors and community partners to ensure alignment of training opportunities with workforce and student needs.
Program Support
  • Collaborate with Academic Development Program staff, advisors, and other college departments to create an atmosphere supportive of students and their transitions
  • Participate in the annual planning process and evaluation of program services
  • Track and document grant-related data, including student participation and program outcomes
  • Conduct surveys, follow-up activities, and data collection to assess program effectiveness
  • Prepare and submit reports to the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) and other stakeholders as required
