Incumbent will create and maintain a safe, positive learning environment to ensure the holistic development of each student and staff member through cultural, social, spiritual, physical and academic experience. Incumbent will support the Bureau of Indian Education’s mission, which is to provide high quality education opportunities from early childhood through life while considering a tribe’s need for cultural and economic well-being.

• The incumbent is required to operate a US Government-owned or leased motor vehicle in the performance of assigned duties.
• A valid State Driver's license must be maintained as a condition of employment; failure to do may result in removal from the position.
• On rare occasion, incumbent may be required to travel away from the duty station for training purposes. Travel may involve transit via airplane and motor vehicle.
• Occasionally, the employee is expected to work other than normal hours as necessary to handle emergency situations or peak workloads. Incumbent may also be required to report to work in early morning hours to shovel snow or de-ice in cases of extreme weather conditions.
• In rare situations reporting to work in inclement weather may be required.
• The incumbent is subject to background investigations.
