DEA’s Construction Engineering Services Practice is seeking an Intern in Salem, OR.
What You’ll Do- Coordinate, perform, and observe technical engineering work in the field or office.
- Inspect and ensure a construction project is built in accordance with contract plans and specifications.
- Maintain accurate daily records of labor, equipment, materials, and quantities.
- Identify contract change orders and assist in their preparation and implementation.
- Communicate effectively with contractors, owners, construction managers, project documentation engineers, and other field engineering staff.
- Prepare field note records for progress payments.
- Coordinate required materials sampling and testing.
Required Qualifications
- Enrolled in an accredited associate, bachelor’s, master’s, or certificate program with coursework applicable to the internship area.
- Interest in gaining practical experience in your field of study and contributing to DEA’s mission.

- Potential salary range: $16.06/hr – $21.72/hr.
