Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated VDC Intern to support our digital construction and BIM efforts across active projects. This role provides hands-on experience with industry-leading tools such as Autodesk Revit
, Autodesk Civil 3D
, Autodesk Navisworks
, Autodesk Re Cap , and Autodesk Construction Cloud
, while gaining exposure to field technologies including the Trimble Inc. ecosystem
. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, detail-oriented, and interested in the intersection of construction, technology, and data.

Key Responsibilities
  • BIM & Model Support
    • Assist in developing and updating 3D models using Revit and Civil 3D
    • Support model coordination and clash detection workflows.
    • Help maintain organized project models and data within Autodesk Construction Cloud
  • Reality Capture & Data Integration
    • Assist with processing point cloud data using Re Cap
    • Support integration of survey and field data into project models
    • Work with laser scanning and reality capture workflows (as applicable)
  • Field Technology Exposure
    • Gain exposure to Trimble survey instruments (GNSS, total stations, scanners)
    • Assist in preparing data for field layout and verification
    • Support model-to-field workflows and coordination with field teams
  • Visualization & Digital Delivery
    • Assist with basic 3D visualizations and renderings using Twin Motion or similar tools
    • Support development of 4D simulations (schedule-based modeling) as needed
  • General Support
    • Participate in coordination meetings and take notes/action items
    • Help maintain BIM standards, templates, and file structures
    • Perform data entry, model checks, and documentation support
Required Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a degree in:
    Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Surveying/Geomatics or related field
  • Basic familiarity with one or more Autodesk tools (Revit, Civil 3D, Navisworks, or similar)
  • Strong computer skills and willingness to learn new software
  • Good communication and organizational skills
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Exposure to Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)
  • Interest in surveying technologies or geospatial workflows
  • Familiarity with laser scanning or drone mapping concepts
  • Basic understanding of construction drawings and processes
  • Experience with rendering tools like Twin Motion
  • Interest in emerging construction technologies (VDC, BIM, reality capture)
