Job Description:
At the Oregon Board of Parole and Post-Prison Supervision, we work in partnership with the Department of Corrections and local community corrections to protect communities and reduce the risk of repeat criminal behavior. Our decisions – guided by law, victim interests, and evidence-based practices – shape prison terms, release conditions, and supervision for offenders in the justice system.
We are seeking a detail‑oriented Administrative Specialist 1 to support the accurate processing and review of Morrissey and Local Sanction actions. In this role, you will ensure requests meet agency policies and OAR requirements, verify supervision types, calculate sanction days, and determine appropriate Board involvement based on case details and risk factors. You will maintain precise records, update sentence computations, track sanctions and revocations, and communicate Board actions clearly and promptly.
This position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely case processing.

What We Are Looking For
Minimum Qualifications:
Two years of secretarial or basic administrative support experience that includes records processing, generating documents, and gathering and sorting data; ORAn associate degree in general office occupations and one year of experience with records processing, generating documents, and gathering and sorting data; ORAn equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special
Qualification:
Must be LEDS certified or be able to obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
