Compliance Specialist 1 – Ignition Interlock Device (IID) Program
Position:
Full‑time, Permanent.
Location:
Salem, Oregon. This is an in‑office position with no remote or hybrid work schedule.
Salary: $4,519 - $6,275.
ResponsibilitiesYour primary responsibility will be to review Ignition Interlock Device (IID) service center applicants and inspect service center sites. You will also process vendor and service center applications/certifications for participation in the IID program. In this position, you will provide guidance and rule enforcement to IID service centers and technicians to ensure compliance with Oregon Revised Statutes and Oregon Administrative Rules, assist in the intake and resolution of consumer complaints, update the departing IID website, and answer phone and email requests for IID‑related service issues, appropriately referring potential criminal violations or child welfare issues to sworn enforcement staff.
This position requires in‑state and occasional out‑of‑state travel.
- Two years’ experience doing administrative research that includes compiling and evaluating facts to recommend management action or decide eligibility or compliance with program guidelines and regulations.
- College‑level coursework may substitute for the experience on the basis of 45 quarter units per year.
- Demonstrated experience providing excellent customer service to a diverse audience.
- Demonstrated experience or transferable skills with research and analysis of law enforcement programs and best practices.
- Experience working as a member of a high‑performing team or organization.
- Knowledge, skill, and ability to produce and communicate professional and concise written reports, detailed briefings, and technical information to a wide variety of individuals.
- Ability to independently organize, prioritize, manage deadlines, and produce high quality work.
- Must have a valid Oregon Driver License and qualification to drive a State‑owned vehicle.
