** The mission of the Oregon Criminal Justice Commission (CJC) is to improve the legitimacy, efficiency, and effectiveness of Oregon’s state and local criminal justice systems by providing a centralized and impartial forum for statewide policy development and planning.

**** What You’ll Do
** As a Grant Coordinator you’ll develop, administer, and evaluate statewide criminal justice grant programs by conducting analyses, establishing program standards, determining eligibility and compliance, and advising agencies on best practices to improve public safety across Oregon. Your skills and abilities to plan, conduct, and report on comprehensive analyses related to the distribution and use of grant funds will aid in demonstrating program effects on public safety outcomes that impact local and state criminal justice systems in Oregon.
The types of analyses managed by this position include:
* Adherence to national or state standards for justice system interventions.
* Resource allocation and cost-benefit analyses of justice system interventions.
* Analyses of trends in criminal offending, incarceration, access to rehabilitative services, and recidivism.

** This Is What You Need to Qualify
*** A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, or a degree related to the agency program that demonstrates the capacity for the knowledge and skills; and four years experience coordinating or administering a criminal justice, grant or similar program,
** OR**;
* Any combination of experience or education equivalent to seven years of experience that typically supports the knowledge and skill requirements listed for the classification.
** The ideal candidate will possess the following desired skills and attributes:
*** Demonstrated working knowledge of criminal justice systems and their intersections with behavioral health systems.
* Experience with grant management, budgeting and expense tracking, and associated reporting requirements.
* Demonstrated experience applying laws, rules, and policies and accurately evaluating information to develop grant program guidelines, processes, and procedures.
* Experience recognizing issues, developing consensus-based solutions, and providing technical assistance to external audiences, including local governments, Tribal governments, and community-based organizations.
* Experience working collaboratively in teams (to include staff, external organizations and/or elected officials) to bring multi-faceted assignments to a successful conclusion.
* Skill in communicating effectively (orally and in writing) as appropriate for the needs of the audience, to include public speaking and presentations to government and community leaders.
* Strong organization and project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, navigate continual change, and pivot between competing priorities.
