Position informationWe are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team at Shangri La. As a DSP, you will provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a group home setting. DSPs interact directly with clients, and this position is an attractive option for people who are interested in healthcare as a career.

Full Time and On Call/Relief available - Location:
Multiple locations - many options for placement - Shift Options: 8 or 10 hours (depending on availability and home needs)
- Starting wage: $20.14 an hour (Night shifts additional $.75 an hour and companion shift additional $.50 an hour)
- Wage Scale: $20.14 - $24.50

- Provide compassionate care with respect and dignity while encouraging independence and self-care
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating
- Meal and snack preparation
- Light household duties
- Provide mobility and transfer assistance
- Administer medications
- Accompany clients to community outings and activities
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must pass a background check
- Have a valid driver s license (for Day or Swing shifts) and clean driving record
