Shift Options- Day shifts
- 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
- 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
- 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
- Evening shift
- 12:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
- 1:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
- Night shift
- 9:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
- 16/8 shift – two sixteen‑hour days 6:00 a.m.–10:00 p.m. and one eight‑hour day 6:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.; 3 days in a row with 4 days off.
- 13.20 shift – 6:00 a.m.–7:20 p.m., 8:00 a.m.–9:20 p.m.; 3 days in a row with 4 days off.
Float Pool Staff receive an additional 10% above their base pay for the duration of the assignment and are first considered for portability.
Summary of DutiesAs an employee in the Stabilization and Crisis Unit (SACU), you will provide 24‑hour residential care to Oregonians with intellectual and developmental disabilities and co‑occurring mental health diagnoses. You will support individuals in transitioning back to their home community and provide life‑skills training, recreational opportunities, and community integration. SACU operates 17 residential group homes along the I‑5 corridor from Portland to Eugene.
Responsibilities- Provide direct care and/or support in 24‑hour residential group homes to children and adults in behavioral supports, safety, personal care, nutrition, housekeeping, health care, and other daily activities.
- Provide supports that honor individuals’ wishes and culture while maintaining health and safety.
- Assist individuals with accessing their community and encourage participation in educational and recreational activities.
- Make observations and document individuals’ activities, behavior, and progress.
- Administer medications and treatments under the direction of nursing staff and medical professionals.
- Assist individuals with activities of daily living and hygiene needs (personal care, bathing, toileting, feeding).
- Document and track all aspects of care, answer phones, and maintain confidentiality.
- Prepare meals and complete housekeeping tasks.
• A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record are required.
• Eighteen months of experience providing direct individual care or training in a related human services field (e.g., intellectual/developmental disabilities, mental and physical disabilities, substance abuse).
• OR an Associate or higher‑level degree in a related human services field.
• OR a combination of education and experience as defined above.
