Pay: $27.00–$30.00/hr

Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Coder / Billing Specialist to join a busy healthcare team. This role focuses on accurate coding, regulatory compliance, and supporting the revenue cycle. This is an immediate opening with equipment arriving soon and a quick start expected.

• Assign accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes based on provider documentation.
• Review patient charts for completeness, accuracy, and coding compliance.
• Ensure coding meets payer, Medicare/Medicaid, and regulatory guidelines.
• Identify undercoding, overcoding, missing charges, and documentation discrepancies.
• Collaborate with providers to obtain clarification when documentation is incomplete or unclear.
• Support claim denial management and resolve coding-related billing issues.
• Maintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.

• Current CPC (Certified Professional Coder) certification through AAPC or an AHIMA coding credential (such as CCS or CCS-P) is required.
• Certification must be active and in good standing.
• 1–3 years of medical coding and/or medical billing experience preferred.
• Prior data entry experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, and healthcare documentation.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Ability to interpret coding guidelines and maintain compliance with payer and regulatory standards.
