The Residential Rehabilitation Director will oversee the Living Services Initiative located in a historic Salem, Oregon neighborhood. The geographic location is ideal for community-based rehabilitation.
We believe rehabilitation happens where life happens—in the community and people’s homes. Assisting people who desire to live independently in their own home is our rehabilitative focus. When circumstances prevent a person with a moderate to severe brain injury from living in their own home, MIMI is developing a 24/7 residential care model which provides opportunity for safe, consistent and empowering opportunities which will lead to a person transitioning to the highest level of independent living possible.
MIMI needs a transformational and compassionate leader to join our team of skilled professionals to help develop and oversee our transitional residential rehabilitation program. Help us develop this transformational program alongside our experienced clinicians, community stakeholders and those we serve.
We're looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:
· Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in either Human services, Psychology, Behavioral Health, Nursing,
· Health Care administration,
· 2 years Management/Administrative experience, including budgeting
· Experience developing behavior plans
· Experience working with people who have a diagnosis of Acquired Brain Injury
· 24/7 Residential care experience
· Ability to teach, empower, and support the team
· Previous experience in direct patient care is highly preferred
· First aid/CPR certified instructor or ability to acquire said certification in a timely manner
· Certified Brain Injury Specialist or willingness to achieve
· Microsoft Excel experience
· Self starter, creative, responsible, able to work independently Responsibilities
· Empower staff to empower residents. Lead by example.
· Engage with the team to build person-driven plans which lead to independence.
· Insure the resident is an integral member of the team.
· Maintain a work environment that supports dignity and fair treatment of staff and residents
· Manage the residential program budget
· Ensure compliance with state and federal regulation/laws. Reporting as regulations require.
· Hire, train, and manage direct support staff/ Build and support your team
· Conduct on-site residential staff training and programming as required
· Conduct timely performance reviews
· Evaluate and report effectiveness of program to key stakeholders using evidence- based assessment
· Build community and statewide partnerships
· Make a difference for good for those we serve and have fun.
