HR Manager | Aerospace Manufacturing | Salem, OR Area
A multinational aerospace manufacturing company is seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead the human resources function at a 700+ employee, non-union manufacturing facility in the Salem, Oregon area.
This is a highly visible HR leadership position overseeing a team of approximately three HR Generalists while partnering closely with site leadership and employees across all aspects of HR. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on HR leader who enjoys being engaged with employees and operations while also providing strategic guidance to plant leadership.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the HR function for a 700+ employee manufacturing operation
- Manage, coach, and develop a team of approximately three HR Generalists
- Serve as a strategic HR business partner to the General Manager and site leadership
- Oversee recruiting, retention, workforce planning, and talent development
- Lead employee relations, performance management, disciplinary processes, and conflict resolution
- Develop and implement supervisor and management development programs
- Drive employee engagement, retention, and organizational development initiatives
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Oversee compensation, benefits, HRIS, time and attendance, and related HR processes
- Partner with leadership to maintain competitive and equitable compensation practices
- Monitor HR metrics including turnover, headcount, engagement, and talent pipeline
- Develop and implement HR processes that improve efficiency and employee experience
- Support training initiatives and organizational development plans
- Build strong relationships with employees throughout the manufacturing operation
- Partner with corporate HR and community organizations on talent and workforce initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
- 8+ years of progressive HR leadership experience
- Experience leading HR in a large manufacturing environment
- Proven experience managing and developing HR professionals
- Strong employee relations and employment law knowledge
- Experience with recruiting, retention, performance management, compensation, and organizational development
- Strong communication, conflict management, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, SPHR, or PHR certification preferred
- Aerospace, metals, foundry, or other complex manufacturing experience is a plus
- Spanish/English bilingual skills are a plus
