Job Title:
Imaging Informatics Administrator
Location:
Salem, OR 97301 (Onsite with limited remote flexibility) Duration: 26 Weeks
Schedule:
Day Shift | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Position Overview:
Seeking an experienced Imaging Informatics Administrator to support and maintain imaging and cardiac information systems within a large acute care healthcare environment. This role combines systems administration, project management, PACS support, clinical systems integration, training, troubleshooting, and operational support. The position is primarily onsite with limited work‑from‑home flexibility depending on operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:Project & Systems Management:
- Assist in planning, implementation, and oversight of Imaging Informatics Systems.
- Support long‑range strategic planning for Imaging and Cardiac Information Systems.
- Conduct feasibility assessments and monitor projects using project management methodologies.
- Install and support PACS and CPACS web‑based applications in physician offices.
- Assist with disaster recovery planning and business continuity strategies.
- Ensure system security, patient privacy, and HIPAA compliance.
- Support data migration and optimize image workflow integrity.
- Evaluate and maintain compatibility between EMR, RIS, PACS, and dictation systems.
- Provide troubleshooting and support for imaging informatics applications and end users.
- Participate in rotating after‑hours on‑call support schedule (approximately every 4th week once fully trained).
- Monitor system performance, archives, interfaces, and workflows.
- Resolve archive and patient imaging access issues.
- Maintain database integrity and perform daily system maintenance.
- Develop and support departmental policies and procedures aligned with healthcare regulatory standards.
- Assist with quality improvement initiatives and workflow optimization.
Education:
- Train and support medical staff and hospital users on imaging systems and applications.
- Conduct training needs assessments and evaluate training effectiveness.
- Provide advanced end‑user education and troubleshooting guidance.
- Assist with modality integration and imaging display quality control.
- Support implementation of medical imaging standards and IHE guidelines.
- Collaborate on network architecture, storage solutions, and archive management.
- Maintain hardware and software components supporting imaging workflows.
Experience supporting or administering the following systems is highly preferred:
- Philips Intelli Space PACS
- Philips Intelli Space Portal
- Philips Tracemaster Vue ECG
- Nuance Power Scribe 360
- Hologic Mammography PACS
- MIM Vista PET/CT
- McKesson Cardiovascular PACS
- GE Dose Watch
- PACSGear
- Additional imaging and cardiology information systems
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in:
- Imaging Informatics
- PACS Administration
- Networking, servers, and multi‑operating systems including UNIX
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Experience supporting enterprise imaging workflows and integrations
- Excellent communication and end‑user support skills
