The Department of Consumer & Business Services (DCBS) is a progressive state agency dedicated to protecting consumers and workers while supporting a positive business climate. This position is within the Building Code Division (BCD), which enforces statewide building codes related to construction, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical installations.
Responsibilities- Provide a full range of application development services to assigned business units.
- Plan and perform or coordinate requirements gathering, business and technical analysis, application and system design, procurement coordination, technical specification development, program development, database creation, application testing, user training, deployment coordination, and ongoing customer support.
- Ensure compliance with agency policies and applicable regulations.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors as needed.
- Six (6) years of information systems experience with a variety of IT/software products and programs; or an associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and four (4) years of information systems experience; or a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field and two (2) years of information systems experience; or a master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.

Additional Information- Salary Range: $6,838 – $10,332 (non‑PERS eligible).
- Possible eligibility for telework on a part‑time basis after demonstrating proficiency; regular office hours required.
- Pay equity assessment will determine the pay step based on experience, education, and certifications.
- Eligibility for PERS increases salary by 6.95% after 6 months of employment.
- Position subject to a fingerprint background check.
