UAT Business Subject Matter Expert (SME) Tester
Location:
Remote
We are seeking an experienced UAT Business Subject Matter Expert (SME) Tester to support the implementation of a State-Based Health Insurance Marketplace platform. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, product teams, technical teams, and vendors to ensure the solution meets business requirements, regulatory compliance, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Review business requirements, user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
- Develop and maintain UAT test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and test data.
- Execute manual User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and document results.
- Track, report, and validate defects using Jira or similar tools.
- Perform regression, integration, exploratory, and end-to-end testing.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams throughout Agile/Scrum delivery.
- Participate in defect triage, release readiness, and go/no-go activities.
- Support business SMEs during UAT execution.
- Maintain Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) and testing documentation.
- Provide testing metrics, status reports, and recommendations for process improvements.
- Strong experience with User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Solid understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience creating and executing complex test scenarios.
- Proficiency with Jira, Azure Dev Ops, or similar test management tools.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Experience with requirements traceability and defect management.
- Knowledge of accessibility, security, and performance testing concepts.
- Experience with Health Insurance Exchange (HIX) or Healthcare Marketplace platforms.
- Strong knowledge of ACA Marketplace operations, eligibility, enrollment, and plan management.
- Experience integrating Marketplace systems with Medicaid eligibility systems.
- Familiarity with APTC/CSR, Special Enrollment Periods, and CMS regulations.
- Exposure to Selenium, Playwright, Robot Framework, or other test automation tools.
- Experience managing complex test data and business-focused QA activities.
- 100% Remote.
- Must be available during standard business hours.
