About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Field Technology Manager to manage and support the company's survey and machine control equipment across multiple projects. The ideal candidate will have deep extensive experience with the Trimble ecosystem, including GNSS/GPS base and rover systems, total stations, machine control systems, data collectors, and associated field technology.

This role will be responsible for the full lifecycle of survey and machine control equipment, including inventory management, equipment inspection, deployment, location tracking, troubleshooting, service and repair coordination, procurement support, and field technology support. The position will serve as a primary technical resource for project teams and field personnel while working closely with SITECH and other technology vendors to ensure equipment remains operational, properly configured, and ready for deployment.

The candidate will be highly organized, technically proficient, field-oriented, safety focused, and comfortable working across VDC, project management, field operations, equipment teams, and technology vendors.

Essential Functions Survey Equipment Management
  • Manage the company's survey and machine control equipment fleet, including GNSS/GPS base and rover systems, total stations, machine control cab kits, data collectors, radios, and associated accessories.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records including equipment serial numbers, assigned locations, project assignments, condition, and service status.
  • Develop and maintain processes for equipment check-in, check-out, deployment, return, inspection, and storage.
  • Track equipment movement between offices, projects, and service providers.
  • Establish standardized equipment kits and configurations for common field applications.
  • Maintain organized storage of survey equipment, accessories, batteries, chargers, tripods, poles, cables, brackets, and other components.
  • Identify obsolete, damaged, underutilized, or surplus equipment and make recommendations for repair, replacement, or retirement.
Equipment Inspection & Maintenance
  • Perform routine inspections of survey and machine control equipment.
  • Verify equipment condition, functionality, configuration, and readiness prior to deployment.
  • Coordinate preventative maintenance, calibration, firmware updates, and repairs.
  • Maintain equipment service history and documentation.
  • Diagnose equipment issues and determine whether problems require field troubleshooting, configuration changes, vendor support, or professional repair.
  • Coordinate equipment shipments to and from SITECH and other authorized service providers.
  • Track equipment through the repair process and ensure timely return to service.
  • Maintain appropriate spare equipment and components to minimize project downtime.
Field Technology Support
  • Provide technical support to field personnel using Trimble survey and machine control technology.
