Associate Litigation Attorney (No Billable Target) - Salem, OR
Role:
Associate Litigation Attorney
Experience:
3+ Years
Location:
Salem, OR
Compensation: $100,000 - $115,000 Base + Revenue-Based Bonus
We are currently representing a premier firm in Salem that is defying the law firm "grind." My client has a sophisticated, high-volume litigation practice and is looking for a motivated Associate to join their ranks.
This isn't a "back-office" research role. This firm has significant litigation work on the books and needs a talented attorney who wants to be in the thick of it.
The Differentiator:
Performance over "The Clock"
The most unique aspect of this firm is that there is no billable hour target. The partners trust their team to be professionals, empowering them to set their own schedules while remaining onsite for client-facing meetings and collaborative firm needs. This results-oriented environment measures value by the quality of advocacy, not just the minutes logged.
The Environment & Support- Top-Tier Support:
You will have access to high-quality support staff, allowing you to focus on strategy and litigation rather than administrative tasks. - Collegial Culture:
The firm maintains a very friendly, "open-door" feel, valuing a collaborative atmosphere where attorneys enjoy working together. - Career Customization:
The firm offers genuine long-term tracks. Whether you want to climb the ladder to Partner or prefer the balance of an Of Counsel role, there is a clear path forward—both come with significantly higher bonus structures.
- Base Salary: $100k - $115k (depending on experience).
- Incentives:
Subjective bonuses based on a percentage of firm-wide revenue once benchmarks are achieved. - Retirement: 401k eligibility after one year of employment.
- Benefits:
Comprehensive benefits package.
- 3+ years of litigation experience (JD and active bar license required).
- A desire for onsite collaboration in the Salem office.
- Strong courtroom presence and a passion for active litigation.
