* Active member of the Oregon State Bar in good standing on the effective date of appointment.
* Five or more years practicing law as an attorney.
* Demonstrated knowledge of criminal and evidence codes.
* Demonstrated ability to work well with people from a variety of disciplines (e.g., state agency personnel, law enforcement officers, county prosecutors, etc.).
* Excellent organization, analytical, oral presentation and advocacy, and writing skills.
* Experience training prosecutors and/or law enforcement.
* Willing and able to travel throughout the state and nation, sometimes overnight, to meet case, training, and outreach needs.
* Strong work ethic and commitment to public service.
* Able to successfully clear a comprehensive criminal background investigation and reference checks.
* Finalists will be subject to a thorough criminal background investigation, as well as thorough employment reference checks. Adverse background data may be grounds for immediate disqualification.
** Experience prosecuting cases with high public interest
* Experience prosecuting RICO and other organized crime cases
* Experience working collaboratively with law enforcement during long-term investigations
* Interest in financial crimes cases

* A writing sample is not needed from attorneys currently working at the Oregon Department of Justice at the time of application. However, a copy may be requested at a later date if needed.
