Minds In Motion Initiative is a nonprofit supporting adults with brain injuries in a 24/7 transitional living setting. We’re looking for a hands-on leader to support staff, oversee daily operations, and ensure high-quality, person-centered care.
The manager is responsible for managing, ensuring staff are equipped to provide the best services with and for our clients, and work as a team. The manager empowers the team, supports autonomy, and establishes clear expectations. The manager develops credibility with the team. The manager leads by example and models accountability and professionalism. The manager connects with employees face to face.
The manager demonstrates ownership of MIMI values, mission, vision, and inspires staff to engage. The manager works with staff to solve problems and views problems or opportunities for growth and change. The manager is readily accessible to staff and is approachable. The manager maintains a respectful, safe, and ethical enviroment
Job Duties Manage the daily operations of residential care. This includes managing people, the building, and equipment.
Ensure new staff are hired according to the standardized process.
Works with Office Manager to ensure all aspects of the hiring process have been completed. This includes job posting, application monitoring, screening process, interview, offer letter or denial communication.
Works with leadership to ensure staff have access to leaders 24/7. This includes sharing in administrator on-call duties and developing coverage plans when not available.
Ensure staff have met compliance standards to provide direct care.
Ensure staff are aware of, understand, and are compliant with MIMI policies and procedures.
Ensures the staffing schedule meets APD contracted requirements and are adhered to.
Works in partnership with Living Services Director to develop operational plans and how to reach objectives.
Facilitates, in partnership with Living Services Director, the Residential budgeting process and ensures accountability to the budget.
Meet weekly with supervisors to problem solve and ensure the successful operations of support services.
Set staff meeting agenda in partnership with leadership and staff.
Facilitate staff meetings.
Ensure quality and safety of our clients by following through with staff adherence to client support plans and Behavior Support Plan.
Engage with clients daily to assess status and report potential changes to Living services Director.
Manage both routine and non-routine medical appointments. Timely follow up and coordination with providers. Documentation of all results and next steps
Monitor staff performance and address concerns and successes as warranted based on evidence or context.
Perform 90 day and annual performance appraisals of all Transitional Living staff.
Obtain and maintain Infection Control Specialist role as part of the Safety Program, per licensing requirements
Perform routine building safety checks, document and implement changes as needed.
Attend Safety Committee meetings
Managers should possess proficient to advanced levels of core competencies in:
Communication and interpersonal skills

Mentoring and developing people
Stewardship Organization Collaboration in conflict management
Physical Requirements:
Carry 25 pounds occasionally. Stand for 2 hours frequently. Bending, stooping occasionally. Walking up to ½ mile without stopping occasionally. Sitting up to 2 hours frequently.
Manager
Qualification:
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in either Human Services, Psychology, Behavioral health, Nursing, Health Care Administration, or equivalent experience.
2 years Management/Administrative experience, including budgeting
Experience developing behavior plans
Experience working with people who have a diagnosis of Acquired Brain Injury preferred.
24/7 Residential care experience
Ability to teach, empower, and support the team Previous experience in direct patient care is highly preferred
Certified Brain Injury Specialist or willingness to achieve
Microsoft Excel experience
Self-starter, creative, responsible, able to work independentlyRCF Administrator License or ability to osvx
