The Department of Consumer and Business Services (DCBS) is a progressive business regulatory state agency dedicated to the mission of protecting and serving Oregon's consumers and workers while supporting a positive business climate. The department administers state laws and rules governing workers' compensation, occupational safety and health, financial institutions, insurance companies and building codes. The department has consumer protection and education programs, offices, and ombuds to help consumers, injured workers, and businesses.
This position is with the Oregon Occupational Safety and Health Division (Oregon OSHA). Oregon OSHA is responsible for assuring safe and healthful working conditions for Oregon workers through promulgation and enforcement of Occupational Safety and Health Regulations, and by providing education and consultation to employees and employers.
This position is represented by the Service Employees International Union (SEIU).

This position is eligible to telework on a part-time basis once the incumbent has gained the proficiency to perform work independently. However, regular, scheduled office hours are also required.
Here's what you will doAs a Facility/Project Coordinator, you will provide project management by planning, coordinating, and administering multiple business and facility related projects for the division's central office and seven field offices located throughout the state.
Duties include:
- Coordinating and maintaining the agency Business Continuation Plan (BCP)
- Coordinating project-related purchasing activities
- Administering janitorial and security contracts for leased space facilities
- Coordinating the division Ergonomic program
- Serving as the division Health and Safety contact
Minimum Qualifications
- Five years of progressively responsible experience related to the class concept
- OR Four years of progressively responsible experience related to the class concept AND an Oregon Project Management Associate Certification
- OR Two years of progressively responsible experience related to the class concept AND a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Public Administration, or a closely related field
- OR A Project Management Professional Certification awarded by the Project Management Institute
- Experience with general facilities and project management, purchasing, and Personal Services contracting
- Experience with office layout development and execution
- Vendor management experience (preferably including contract administration)
- Strong project management skills
- Demonstrated exceptional communication with stakeholders
- Knowledge of ergonomic principles

- The salary range listed is the non-PERS eligible rate. If you're already a participating PERS member or once you become PERS eligible after 6 months of employment, the salary range will increase by 6.95% and the required 6% employee retirement contribution will be deducted from your pay.
