Position SummaryThe Chief Administrative Officer is a vital member of the UGM management team. This is a ministry position that requires a unique blend of management skill and ministry aptitude. UGM is first and foremost a gospel focused ministry. The person who serves in this role will have a mature and growing relationship with Jesus Christ and will be called by God to help shape and contribute to the growth and development of the spiritual life and well-being of the organization.
In addition, this individual will be responsible for overseeing and leading four key areas of the ministry;
Finance, Social Enterprise, Human Resources and Facilities.
The ministry of UGM is guided by three core values. We are Christ Centered, Guest Focused and Community Connected. The Chief Administrative Officer is responsible for nurturing a culture of unity and service through demonstrating sound leadership and spiritual obedience to the Lord.
Key Responsibilities Finance- Oversee and direct accounting and gift processing
- Oversee all financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, accounting, and financial reporting
- Ensure strong internal controls, compliance and audit-readiness.
- Provide strategic oversight of donor data systems and stewardship programs.
- Oversee risk assessment, liability insurance portfolios and compliance frameworks to minimize exposure and support operational resilience.
- Serve as staff liaison to the Finance and audit committee.
- Oversee the Thrift store and donation center.
- Identify and develop new social enterprise opportunities and expansions.
- Assist in development of vocational training programs.
- Oversee and supervise HR functions
- Manage hiring, compensation and benefits.
- Chair the safety committee and oversee Worker's Compensation program.
- Oversee necessary reporting for various agencies, as needed.
- Oversee facility maintenance and capital improvements.
- Supervise Information Technology (IT) functions, including system security.
- Manage fleet operations, including maintenance.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and administrative skills.
- Experience managing teams, departments or cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong background in operations, finance and human resource management.
- Pastoral or ministry experience.
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in ministry or management.
