Job Summary

our client is seeking a skilled Fiberglass Technician to join their fabrication team. This role is responsible for the fabrication, repair, and finishing of fiberglass components used in industrial and custom manufacturing applications. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and experienced in working with fiberglass materials, resins, and molds in a production environment.

Location:

Brooks, OR

Salary: $20-$26/hr DOE

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 8hr days, 40hr work week

Key Responsibilities
  • Fabricate, repair, and finish fiberglass parts using hand lay-up, spray-up, or vacuum infusion methods
  • Prepare molds, materials, and surfaces for fiberglass application
  • Mix and apply resins, catalysts, and reinforcements according to specifications
  • Perform trimming, grinding, sanding, and finishing of fiberglass components
  • Inspect finished products to ensure quality, strength, and dimensional accuracy
  • Repair defects such as cracks, air bubbles, or surface imperfections
  • Follow all safety procedures related to PPE, ventilation, and hazardous materials
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas
  • Collaborate with fabrication, welding, and production teams as needed
  • Read and interpret drawings, work instructions, and job specifications
Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a Fiberglass Technician or in composite fabrication preferred
  • Knowledge of fiberglass materials, resins, and curing processes
  • Experience with hand tools, power tools, grinders, and sanders
  • Ability to read basic blueprints or drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in industrial, marine, or custom fabrication environments
  • Familiarity with vacuum bagging or infusion processes
  • Experience working alongside metal fabrication or welding teams
  • Forklift or overhead crane experience (a plus)
