Key Responsibilities General Production O perate production assets safely following established procedures and industry best practices Perform daily production tasks, preventative maintenance, process data collection, and administration Report safety, quality, or process issues to Team Leader/Shift Supervisor Ensure production targets are met while maintaining quality standards Issue Corrective Action Reports (CAR) or hazard reports when relevant issues are identified Provide progress updates and attend team meetings Contribute to investigations of HSE or quality issues (e.g., customer complaints, reject batches) Participate in continuous improvement activities for HSE, Quality, and productivit y Tank Wash Cl ean portable tanks, valves, filters, pumps, and equipment using chemicals, pressure washers, and tools Operate automated tank washer machines Perform housekeeping duties in designated areas Pre-Kit & Material Coordination Maintain storage of raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods Deliver materials to batch makers and return unused materials to storage or disposal areas Operate and inspect forklifts daily, ensuring safe handling of materials Assist fill-off operators with proper containers and coordinate hazardous waste disposal Keep storage areas clean and organized Fill-Off Tran sfer completed products into containers ranging from 1 quart to tankers Apply accurate labeling and documentation per batch ticket requirements Inspect filled containers for leaks and ensure compliance with shipment requirements Clean equipment and properly dispose of filters and cleaning materials Batch Making Add raw materials in the specified order per batch ticket Weigh and measure materials accurately for yield and quality Coordinate sample testing with QC and adjust batches as instructed Maintain housekeeping standards in work areas Milling/Grinding Operations O perate machine controls to achieve specified flow and temperature limits Perform Lockout/Tagout/Tryout procedures safely Set up and break down mills, including media and screen selection Inspect equipment for wear and perform grind checks for f ineness Level of Autonomy P roduction Operators are expected to make independent decisions related to safe equipment operation, reporting hazards, performing routine tasks, and ensuring compliance with production standards.
Escalation to supervisors is required for non-routine issues or deviations.
Required Qualifications Hig h school diploma or equivalent Ability to read, comprehend, and follow safety instructions and guidelines Ability to pass forklift certification and operate forklifts safely Ability to read and apply accurate labels, measure and weigh materials precisely Ability to lift and handle containers up to 75 lbs, maneuver drums up to 900 lbs Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work independently Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a manufacturing environment Commitment to safety leadership and compliance Ability to work in hot/cold environments and heavy manufacturing settings with chemical exposure Ability to stand/walk for long periods and climb stairs with steel-toed footwear Arm-hand steadiness and near vision for detailed tasks
Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in a paint manufacturing facility Prior manufacturing experience Basic Microsoft Office skills English language proficiency
